Design. Culture. Mexico. Boiler Room San Francisco

07/06/2015

Part celebration, part exhibit, part launch of Carla Fernández’s inaugural collection in the US, Design Culture Mexico was an opportunity for long-time fans and newcomers alike to take a deep dive into Carla’s world in the heart of Mexico’s happening and unique art and design culture scene.

Curated by Renee Zellweger of SummerSchool SF, Design Culture Mexico is an evolution of the acclaimed 2014 Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum exhibit that brought to life Carla’s vision, work, artistry, process, and impact.

In addition to that, Design Culture Mexico marks the launch of Carla’s first full collection (for men and women) in the US. It was a chance to learn about the way the beautiful and design-forward pieces are made, purchase pieces from the collection, and join in a new way of thinking about the things we wear and surround ourselves with.
